About Elpida Autism Foundation

Our inspiration behind the creation of Elpida Autism Foundation is Matthew Koutrakos, son of two of the co-founders

Started in Toronto, as a dining table conversation amongst the co-founders with the intention of giving back to some organizations that have supported Matthew and many other people like him. These organizations have done great work in support of autism awareness and acceptance as well in research and development.

In 2017, we applied for and were approved as a registered charity in Canada.

Elpida currently operates with 4 Board of Directors and assistance from a number of consultants who bring many different and necessary strengths to our organization.

With the support of mainly our family and friends, we raised over $67,000 at our first gala with a total of over $965,000 since then.

We are proud of our accomplishments to date, but have a vision that needs to be realized!

“Above is a vision model that represents our ultimate goal of building and sustaining a long-term care facility for those living on the spectrum and their families. Images have been commissioned and created by Graziani, Corazza, Biase and their team, Renato Iamonaco and Shirin Nezhat.”
